For us, Alkemy (pronounced Alchemy) represents transformation — both for the greater good of humanity and for the betterment of self. Just as alchemists sought to turn lead into gold, we believe true transformation begins from within.
We created Alkemy Superfoods because representation matters. There are few people of color in the natural food space, and we want our company to stand as proof of the greatness our people can achieve in any field. Our mission is to heal and educate from the inside out, using only what nature provides. When most think of slavery or segregation, diet is rarely part of the conversation. Yet today, we remain enslaved to processed meats, artificial sugars, junk foods, and low-quality markets that are disproportionately placed in urban neighborhoods. Meanwhile, words like vegan or plant-based are rarely associated with people of color — a perception we are determined to change.
